This exhibition offers an intimate glimpse into Wei’s evolving practice, presenting a curated selection of works that reveal his enduring connection to the American landscape. Renowned for his moody, dreamlike portrayals of light and shadow across weathered facades, endless roads, and open countryside, Wei evokes the quiet poetry of solitude and the unhurried passage of time. Bringing together iconic works from Wei’s career and seldom-seen pieces from his studio archives, the exhibition draws viewers deeper into the visual language that has come to define his artistic voice. Patricia and Z.Z. Wei have been in partnership for 33 years – Patricia opened her gallery in 1992 and soon thereafter, showed some of Wei’s first works as a professional painter. To say that their relationship has been profound is an understatement. This exhibition of paintings, hand-picked by Patricia, celebrates the rich history shared between them and the longstanding impact they have had on countless collectors and enthusiasts across the globe.
