This exhibition is a response to our current collective need to shelter-in-place and the ways we are all connected despite our isolation. This body of work continues Wei’s quintessential style and mood, depicting landscapes that hold solitude, sentiment and silence. Now within the context of the global pandemic, new light is shed on what has always existed in Wei’s paintings and elements of the universal human condition have added emphasis.
