Gehl hopes that her work leads to an expanded and deepened connection with the natural world. Her paintings are a fusion of digital imagery, paint and resin, resulting in work that reflects her reverence for nature. For Gehl, the earth speaks and she responds by creating dreamscapes that reflect what she hears and sees in her mind’s eye. A dedicated advocate for One Tree Planted, she donates fifty trees planted for every painting sold, restoring forests, creating habitats for biodiversity, and making a positive social impact around the world.
Gehl has over 36 years of professional experience in design, color theory, digital creation and painting. Her art has been exhibited in galleries in the Pacific Northwest, Santa Fe, Aspen, Vail, Boston and Atlanta and is included in corporate and private collections across the United States and South America. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Barbara and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Gehl works in her studio in the San Juan Islands overlooking the Puget Sound.
