Wu has lived in the Northwest for 14 years and in this body of work she focuses on her relationship to the power of its beauty. With a subtle and contemplative touch inspired by 19th century German Romantic landscape painter Casper David Friedrich, Wu awakens the light and atmosphere of the Northwest and creates meaningful connections, seen and unseen, to the infinite power and timelessness of the natural realm.
