Talbot, her husband, their duck and cat have traveled the US since 2012 chasing vintage neon signs. Together they have visited 46 states, driving in their camper van through tiny towns and along old highways. These paintings can be viewed much in the same way as a portrait– the rust and peeling paint like the wrinkles and freckles that portray the model’s unique character. The journeys that Talbot and her family have taken have led to countless adventures and priceless stories shared. This body of work is a reflection on these many pilgrimages and hold traces of memory and time.
